I know some call centers offer the option of working from home. One of my close buddies used to have a girlfriend who because of health reasons couldn’t work in the office. So they gave her the tools she needed to work from the comfort of her own home.
some office duties like accounting and payroll can be done from home as well.
If you’re into computers there are lots of options for working from home. Graphic design, webmaster, and some computer support can be done from home.

I have worked for city government for 7 years and work mostly from home. Few jobs are 100% work at home - I still need to go into an office a few times a month.
My Partner works in Marketing for a major software organization and has worked primarily from home for 20 years. Most technology jobs offer work at home options.
