Is your computer connected with a LAN cable?
In Internet Explorer, click Tools, Internet options, Connection and select Dial whenever a network connection is not present.
Are you using a router? Power cycle router
Is it plugged directly into cable modem? Unplug cable modem for half a minute and plug back in. Repair ip addres by going into start>control panel>network connections>local area connection>support>Repair. On that support tab does it give you an IP address at all? Do you have any firewalls? Try going to Start>Run>type in CMD. In the command prompt type in ipconfig/release and then enter. Follow this with ipconfig/renew and Enter.
