I’ve also found some useful information on these blogs, it helps you to earn small amounts of money from data entry, surveys, receiving telephone calls, reading adverts in emails and online selling. I cant say for certain how much of this is applicable to india, I needed a paypal account to get paid, I presume paypal works the same in india.

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.
Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday, it could be sports, computers, one of your hobbies, reviews of other websites, photographs of your local area, anything which other people might be interested in also.

wow, Lots of scams… Well six months ago I was a bored housewife/mom without a job, small child, wanted work, couldnt afford daycare. I went through about 5 scams for work at home programs, before I realized they were all scams. Through Yahoo Answers I found out about affiliate programs. I didnt even know what they were. Basically you sign up FOR FREE to be an affiliate for a company. You get a link to their website, and you promote that website through placing the link on any website that will let you place your link on their link page anyone who places an order using that link you get a commission. I have ended up using 2 health food companies to be an affiliate for. I am now making pretty good money at it. I spend about 6 hours a day on the computer, on my schedule… I love it. It is true that there are a lot of things on the internet you need to watch out for, but you need to realize that not everything is a scam!
It is important to always do your research before ever giving any money for an “opportunity”. Sometimes a simple search in your web browser, just typing the name of the product + scam will give you an idea.
There is work you can do based in India. I have a guide I wrote giving a bit of an overview of freelance writing online - it is free, which you can go and read at
I have been doing writing online now for awhile, and there is a good demand for this kind of work. There are so many more opportunities though out there, and you just need to find what you feel you would enjoy doing the most.
